Apple on Monday (June 5th) introduced its first home speaker, the HomePod, at its 2017 Worldwide Developers Conference.
The HomePod, which will be available for sale later this year for $349, will compete with the Amazon Echo and Google Home. It will feature Siri as a home assistant and Apple Music integration. Also unveiled yesterday was the first new iMac in almost two years, and software updates iOS 11 and High Sierra, the new MacOS.
