Harrison Ford Forgets Ryan Gosling’s Name While Promoting BLADE RUNNER 2049 [VIDEO]

Harrison Ford has become the master of the DGAF interview over the years, and he continues to show us how it is done with each passing movie. From hilarious blunt responses to fan questions at San Diego Comic-Con, to admitting that he wanted Han Solo to die decades ago, the guy is no stranger to honesty on-camera. Now he has taken that to the next level by actually forgetting Ryan Gosling’s name (while right next to Gosling) during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show to promote Blade Runner 2049. Check out the clip below.

Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling seem to have a pretty interesting chemistry with one another during that appearance on The Graham Norton Show, as Ford describes the process of both of them signing on for Blade Runner 2049. At several points throughout the interview, he appears even to forget Gosling’s name, and in all honesty, we cannot tell if it is a joke or not. That is just the type of guy that Harrison Ford is, and we would not have it any other way.

It sounds like the dynamic between Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford is just as bizarre on the silver screen as it is in real life. As Officer K and Rick Deckard, respectively, the two appear to maintain a somewhat antagonistic relationship (despite the fact that they seem to be on the same side), and that eventually culminates in a fight scene at some point during the film. The reason that we already know this? News broke earlier this year that Harrison Ford punched Gosling in the face while shooting the sequence.

Despite the name forgetting and face punching, everything is lining up to make Blade Runner 2049 an incredibly successful debut for Gosling, Ford, and director Denis Villeneuve. Early critical reactions to the long-awaited sequel are almost universally positive, with some reviews even stating that it is superior to Ridley Scott’s original Blade Runner from 1982. If the film can live up to that hype, then I think it’s safe to say that the chemistry between Gosling and Ford more than paid off in the end.
