Moose On The Loose At Winnipeg Blue Bombers Game

A moose was the cause of traffic delays for some people heading to the Banjo Bowl on Saturday… Yes, A moose.

The moose was first spotted on Friday in the Wildwood area, off of Pembina Highway.

By Saturday, it had been spotted at a couple of spots around the University of Manitoba…. And had eventually made its way into the fields near Investors Group Field.

Winnipeg Police had to shut down Chancellor Matheson Road so conservation officers could attempt to catch the moose.

Because of this, there were a lot of people late getting to the game.

The moose was tranquilized just before the 2pm kickoff and relocated to a new home outside the city!
