Canada Life Centre
Star of Fast & Furious and 2024 Super Bowl halftime performer Ludacris will make an appearance in Winnipeg at Canada Life Centre on Aug. 1. Opening the show will be Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall.   The career of the multitalented Chris “Ludacris” Bridges can best be described as remarkable. As a recording artist, he has sold more than 24 million albums worldwide, thanks to the blockbuster success of such singles as “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Number One Spot,” “Money Maker” and “My Chick Bad.”    With an unrivaled match of lyrical acumen, wit, and imagery, Ludacris has solidified himself as one of music's premier entertainers. His versatility and artistic complexity also enabled him to make a seamless transition to acting, including the fan-favourite role of "Tej" in Universal Pictures’ box office phenomenon Fast & Furious franchise where he was introduced for the first time in 2003 in 2 Fast 2 Furious. He reprised his role of “Tej” for the seventh time in Fast X, which was released in 2023.    Bridge’s philanthropic efforts rival his entertainment accomplishments. He started The Ludacris Foundation in 2001 which focuses on helping the youth in his hometown of Atlanta and has partnered with No Kid Hungry and Feeding America.    After years of earning global respect as one of Canada’s most energetic and innovative emcees, opener Kardinal Offishall has been a staple in the global music scene. He has collaborated on hit records such as “Beautiful” with Akon, “Just Dance” with Lady Gaga, "Numba 1" with Rihanna and made history with his monster classic "Dangerous” which scorched to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts, making him the first rapper from Canada to do so in history. Offishall has added TV star to his repertoire, serving as a judge on Canada’s Got Talent alongside Howie Mandel, Lilly Singh and Trish Stratus.   Tickets for Ludacris with guest, Kardinal Offishall, go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday April 26, 2024 at Ticketmaster.ca starting at $59.50 plus fees.
