Friday brought a case of good news/bad news for Nickelback fans thanks to a trio of messages issued by the band via its official Twitter account.
In the first tweet, the band announced that its upcoming album, Feed the Machine, has finally been completed. As a bonus the planned 10 tracks have been expanded to 11 after “inspiration struck.” The band shared a handwritten track list:

That was the “good news” part. The second tweet pointed out that because the track list has been altered, all existing pre-orders on Google Play and iTunes have been cancelled. This means that anyone who previously pre-ordered Feed the Machine will have to do it again.
In the third tweet, the band shared a link to the track list and a special message on its website.
“The album… is done!” the message read. “We locked ourselves in the studio with the plan to deliver you 10 brand new songs, but next thing you know, inspiration struck and #FeedTheMachine turned into 11 tracks. Because of this detour, we had to put the new version of the album up and cancel the old version. This means that all pre-orders on iTunes and Google Play have been cancelled as of this morning and you will need to pre-order again. Please note that if you pre-ordered the album from Nickelback’s web store, via the Fan Club or any physical account such as Amazon, your order is still intact and you are good to go.”
Feed the Machine is the band’s first studio album since 2014’s No Fixed Address, and is set to be released on June 16. Following the album’s release, Nickelback will embark on a 44-city North American tour this summer, with a stop in Winnipeg at the MTS Centre on September 21st.
