Soup Nazi Company Files For Bankruptcy

Soupman Inc., which sells soup made from the recipes of the chef who was the inspiration for the Soup Nazi character on Seinfeld, has filed for bankruptcy. The filing comes less than one month after Soupman’s chief financial officer was arrested on charges of cheating the government out of employment-related taxes. The company said it will continue to sell its soups. Seinfeld‘s Soup Nazi, with his catchphrase, “No soup for you!,” was based on Al Yeganeh and his New York soup stand, whose recipes Soupman now uses.
