Toronto Officer Buys Shoplifter Shirt, Tie For Job Interview

A Toronto police officer has gone viral over the long weekend for something he did when he was called to the scene of a shoplifting, not for arresting the man, but for letting him go.

When the officer learned the young man had tried to steal a shirt, tie, and socks for a job interview, he decided to help him out.

Not only did the Police officer let the man go, he used his own money to pay for the clothes the man had tried to steal.

While some might criticize the officer for letting a shoplifting suspect walk free, The Police officer said it became clear to him that the man was trying for a second chance in life.
