Springtime may have just gotten a bit more complicated with what some are saying is the Easter version of Elf on the Shelf.
It’s called Peep on a Perch, a set that includes a book, written by Andrea Posner-Sanchez, and a stuffed Peeps Chick, which parents can use to keep an eye on kids as they prepare for the Easter Bunny.
Based on the iconic Easter candy, the book’s main character is the Easter Peep. He’s sort of an assistant to the Easter Bunny, helping to decorate eggs and fill baskets. And he keeps track of the acts of kindness a child performs leading up to the holiday.
Sound familiar? Elf on the Shelf is the Christmas story based on elves that keep an eye on kids and report back to Santa on who is naughty and who is nice. The book, of course, comes with an Elf that moves around at night and keeps a watchful eye during the day.
