If you know of him, chances are you’ll be looking for him as you cheer on your favourite Winnipeg pro sports team at home. Dancing Gabe. When your read that name, did you smile a little? Yeah, he has the effect on people as he dances for the shear joy of cheering on his teams. Do you know the history of how he started dancing or why he usually wears the number 91 on his many jerseys? Have a listen and also learn how you can help Gabe celebrate his 60th birthday this Sunday (Jan 29/23) at the Manitoba Moose game.
Along with some birthday cake and, of course, the singing of Happy Birthday, fans will be able to sign cards that will be given to Langlois following the game. The first 3,000 fans at the game will also be given a poster breaking down some of Dancing Gabe’s most famous moves and how to do em. There will be a special ceremony during the 2nd intermission. For those who can’t make it to the game, the Manitoba Moose are inviting people to send in their birthday wishes by video.
