Meet, “Winston” who has been in the care of Black Bear Rescue Manitoba, after he was left behind when his mother took off running. A resident noticed the abandoned cub and contacted Natural Resources, who in turn got in touch with the rescue.
I talked with Judy Stearns, who with her husband run the rescue in Stonewall, MB. If you want more information, have questions or would like to help with funds for bear care; emailus@mts.net or call (204) 461-4320 They are also looking for puppy food for the little guy when he gets bigger.
