You might remember the giant bowling pins on the signs at the Roxy Lanes, but did you know it actually started as a movie theatre. It opened December 24, 1929 as a 1,200-seat theatre and closed in May 1960 and debuted as a 20-lane bowling alley on Dec. 24, 1960. Now, its future is unknown as it’s been sold and the 93 old building didn’t have historical designation. As for the memorabilia in the basement, it now all belongs to the new owners. Do you have any memories of the Roxy? Love to read em! #RIPRoxyLanes
