It’s the first release from Britney since the end of her conservatorship in November of 2021 and her first new music in six years. “Hold Me Closer,” a reimagined duet of the with Elton John of his song “Tiny Dancer”, which was originally released in 1971. It was a minor hit in the U.S. and Europe at the time, but gained a second life when it was featured in a key scene in Cameron Crowe’s 2000 film “Almost Famous.” Since the end of Britney’s 13-year conservatorship, fans have been wondering if she would want to get back in the studio or return to the stage. It’s great to hear she’s moving on.
