Not everyone is happy about the holidays. A person with sensory sensitivity react differently to their environment. Sights, sounds, smells, and other forms of sensory input may cause a heightened experience for HSPs. A sound that is barely perceptible to most people may be very noticeable, and possibly even painful, to an HSP.
A charity called Prairie Strides (formerly Manitoba Riding for the Disabled) are holding a Sensitive Santa event on December 9th. Sensitive Santa is a one-on-one event for individuals with sensory sensitivity to spend quiet time with Santa, without crowds and noise. There is no age limit for this event. It’s from 4:15 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. (by appointment) at May 11 Studio, Suite 700-54 South Landing Drive, Oak Bluff, MB. There is a $20.00 suggested donation to reserve a spot. Info and the sign-up form is available at www.prairiestrides.com – registrations are limited!
